
Steven J. Medill, MAI
Medill was born and raised in Seneca, Kansas. He first became interested in real estate when his father, an attorney and real estate broker, would show him maps and abstracts as he prepared title opinions for title insurers. Steve began working in the appraisal industry in 1989 as a review appraiser for the Division of Property Valuation at the Kansas Department of Revenue. After working for two large appraisal firms in Kansas City, in 1997 he moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, where he worked for Woodford & Associates as a senior staff appraiser. In 2004, Steve and his wife Colleen moved their family of four children to Lincoln, Nebraska, and founded Capital Appraisal Company, LLC.

Personal Life
In his spare time, Steve serves as a youth track coach for Lincoln Community Track Club, where he coaches the hurdle and high jump events. He also enjoys boating, fishing and hunting as hobbies.
Steve’s wife Colleen teaches Property and Real Estate Transactions and Mortgage Finance courses at the University of Nebraska College of Law.
